PCB – Contaminated Equipment: Apex can test your transformers and other equipment for the presence and concentrations of PCBs in transformer oil. Equipment which contains 50-499 ppm PCB, can be removed and in some instances be sold for scrap. Apex technicians can arrange for the removal of the contaminated oil and equipment for proper disposal or salvage.

Non-PCB Equipment Recycling and Disposal: Transformers and other oil filled equipment that are known to contain less than 50 ppm PCB are not considered regulated but proper chain of custody and manifests need to be produced kept for future reference. Salvage and recycling of both equipment and non-PCB transformer oil and be accomplished.
